Finding Clarity: Sharon’s Story

Every once in a while, I have the privilege of working with someone whose journey reminds me exactly why I do what I do. Sharon was one of those people.
When we first met, she described herself as feeling “a little lost.” She was successful, respected, and high-performing — but something inside her was shifting. She wanted clarity about what was next, how to rediscover her purpose, and how to align her professional life with who she was becoming.
From our first conversation, I could sense her depth — her empathy, her curiosity, her willingness to look inward. Our sessions quickly became a space for reflection and renewal. Together, we peeled back the layers of expectation and fear until her own voice could be heard again.
What I loved about working with Sharon was her openness.
She once said, “Elise, you have an uncanny way of guiding someone to really hear and understand the things they already intuitively know. You listen deeply and somehow translate all the messy, half-formed thoughts into clarity.”
That’s one of the most beautiful parts of coaching — helping someone find words for what their heart already knows.
Over time, Sharon began to see herself with fresh eyes.
She discovered the unique value she brings to her work and learned how to lead from a place of authenticity and calm confidence.
One of my favorite reflections she shared still makes me smile.
“Elise isn’t abstract or theory-based. She’s no-nonsense and pragmatic. She has a Mary Poppins bag of tools — each one simple, practical, and designed for real life. Every time I needed a new way to look at something, she seemed to have just the right thing tucked away in that bag.”
Through that blend of empathy, structure, and gentle challenge, Sharon found her footing again.
She described the process as “cathartic, illuminating, and most importantly — helpful.”
By the time our coaching wrapped up, Sharon said she felt lighter, clearer, and more grounded in her purpose. “
It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say Elise met me at a time when I was rather lost,” she told me, “and through our sessions, became a trusty lighthouse helping shine light on the path ahead so I could find my way back to shore.”
That’s the magic of this work — it’s not about fixing anyone. It’s about creating space for someone to come home to themselves. Sharon did that with grace, grit, and heart.
Sharon’s story is a reminder that transformation begins the moment we pause long enough to listen to ourselves. With the right tools, guidance, and self-reflection, clarity always finds its way through.
